Exporting Certificates

M-RETS supports exporting Certificates to Compatible Tracking Systems (CTS). Currently approved Compatible Tracking Systems for exporting are:

• Michigan Renewable Energy Certification System (MIRECS)
• North American Renewables Registry (NAR)
• North Carolina Renewable Energy Tracking System (NC-RETS)

Exports from M-RETS to other registries carry a $0.020/REC fee.

To export; select the Certificates that you wish to Export and select “Transfer”.

Input the number of certificates to export and select next.

From the dropdown select: “Out of M-RETS platform(export)”. From the next dropdown, you will select the tracking system you wish to export certificates. The “name of the party you are transferring to” will be the name of the organization as it is registered in the respective tracking system. Once you have filled the below fields out select “Review”.

Verify the information is correct and select ‘Transfer’.

Your export has been submitted, the M-RETS Administrators will process the export and send it to the respective tracking system. The export will remain in a pending status until the export has been processed and accepted by the receiving organization.
